  • I am back!

Hey everybody...I know its been ages!  Hope you aren't mad.

Had a great deal of things happen since January.  February 3,  Maurice was in a car crash and broke his left leg and his right ankle.
He spent 25 days in the hospital and another 4 weeks in a Rehab facility.

Last Saturday I got married...I am moving to Houston to be the CED of Houston NW Corps.  I am excited...its a new chapter....and we know that God is in Control!

thanks to those who knew and have been praying.  Keep up the prayers...he isn't walking yet!

Oh, and I'm bringing Xanga back - drop a comment if you're with me!

  • I made it safe to Texas!!!!

I thought it was about time to update...since its been, what?  2 months or something?  Anyway....I made it to Texas, finally.  Okay, well, I haven't been traveling the whole week...but I have been trying to unpack.  I have 3 boxes of yard sale stuff already....and I have plenty of boxes yet to go through.  How do people get it all done so quick (Carey)?
I have been to the office two of the days...last Friday was the first day and its been pretty much non-stop since then. Friday nite Teens...Employee Appreciation Picnic...Welcome Sunday....today began with devotions in our Reconnect program and then, had an all day training on Celebrate Recovery....which will be a great addition to our ministry here in Tyler.  Tomorrow is devotions again and then a meeting with some auxiliary ladies....can't really wait to see what thats all about.
Wednesday, I am heading to Temple for the 4th celebration....one of the first holidays with Maurice...am excited.
Next week, I am going to camp (for my second term) Texas style.  Service Unit Camp...woohoo! I gotta find that bug spray!

Okay...that's about it....I hope you feel updated.  Tata and toodle-oo!

  • Of course, this is completely unscientific and unofficial....but in case you are interested....

    IQ Test Score

I have some friends who are feeling bad about moving...why don't we talk about the transition more at the training college?  Is it because we are so all-fired up to get to our first appointment that we don't take into consideration the AFFECT that occurs when transition has been pushed upon an appointment? (not to mention it is one of the MAJOR stressors in life!!) Certainly, there is an effect, too, but a move is very emotional for all involved.
If you are moving this time round....be mindful that everyone is grieving a loss when we move.
I know that the Lord's hand is upon us all as we set out for new adventures and new appointments.  I am praying for you a smooth transition into your appointment and into God's Will for your future.  The Joy of the Lord is my Strength!
